Meet Our Lead Pastors

Pastors Johan & Carmen Mostert

Pastors Johan and Carmen Mostert are passionate servants of Jesus Christ who have dedicated their lives to the preaching of God’s Word, the discipleship of believers, and the advancement of God’s Kingdom. As Lead Pastors of Huis van Herlewing, they are committed to building a Christ-centred church that equips people to know God, grow in spiritual maturity, and fulfil their God-given calling.

The foundation of their ministry is rooted in the mandate found in 2 Timothy 3:14–17 and 2 Timothy 4:2,5—to remain steadfast in the truth of Scripture, to preach the Word faithfully, to correct, rebuke and encourage with patience and careful instruction, and to fulfil the work of the ministry with endurance and faithfulness.

Johan and Carmen have a deep passion for biblical teaching, discipleship, leadership development, community transformation, and raising up the next generation of believers. They believe that the Word of God remains the ultimate authority for life, faith, and ministry, and that every believer should be equipped for every good work through the teaching and application of Scripture.

Their vision extends beyond the walls of the church into homes, schools, communities, and the wider world, where they seek to bring hope, healing, restoration, and the transforming power of the Gospel. Through preaching, mentoring, outreach, and compassionate service, they desire to see people encounter Jesus Christ, walk in freedom, and become mature disciples who make disciples.

Together they lead with humility, integrity, and a dependence on the Holy Spirit, striving to fulfil God’s calling and equip His people for the work of ministry.
